Producing cable assemblies for advanced manufacturers in extreme environments, fitted onto machines and instruments sitting in the world’s most hostile conditions such as oil rigs, arctic weather stations and nuclear power plants.
Such cable assemblies can involve potting and / or encapsulation. For over 20 years WH Kemp has had a separated production area containing specialist potting equipment.
Our in-house chemist aids customers in selecting the appropriate potting compound in addition to monitoring and controlling the use of chemicals.
‘Out of this world’ Extreme Environments
Most recently our chemist has worked with high-tech start-ups working in the space sector, designing satellites and space vehicles. Another of WH Kemp’s sizeable new customers is a fast-growing advanced manufacturer in the marine sector.
The team at WH Kemp are now proudly building control boxes and cable assemblies for use in ATEX Zone 1 environments where our potting and encapsulation skills are essential in enabling the control over the transfer of fuel between vessels, rigs and land.
