Our New Product Development Process
Every project begins with understanding your technical, commercial and delivery requirements. Our team works with your engineers to agree the build method and identify issues before they reach production.
Once the build is agreed, we create detailed Standard Operating Procedures with photographs, handling instructions, special-care points, packing requirements and the most efficient route through our factory. We define the machinery, tooling and test equipment required and, where justified, invest in additional capability to improve quality, repeatability or value.
Testing is agreed with you and programmed into our equipment where appropriate.
Working Alongside Your Engineers
We maintain proactive, open communication through video conferencing, visits to your facilities, or by hosting your engineers within our factory. Our New Product Development team is supported by Quality and wider operational resources, because getting the process right at the outset reduces faults, rework and delays.
Support at Every Project Stage
We can review a detailed drawing or specification for manufacturability, translate a working prototype or golden sample into a documented production assembly, incorporate agreed changes to an existing loom or panel, develop an early sketch or concept alongside your engineers, or help establish practical wiring routes for a machine or sub-assembly.
Materials, Components and Supply
We can advise on materials and components with regard to performance, cost, availability and minimum order quantities. This helps customers make informed choices before a design is committed to production and reduces the risk of avoidable supply or cost issues later.
Where a project requires metalwork or other complementary items, we can coordinate supply through established specialist partners, providing a more complete route to the finished assembly.
