Industrial, fire-protection and safety equipment depends on assemblies being produced consistently as requirements and volumes change. WH Kemp manufactures wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, control panels and electromechanical assemblies for established industrial products and growing safety-related programmes. The common requirement is straightforward, controlled manufacture, reliable supply and a practical and flexible response when drawings, demand or production arrangements change.
Our Sector Experience
WH Kemp was established in 1967 specifically to supply a business producing safety critical products for the petrochemical sector. That relationship continues today. Some of the work was sent offshore 15 years ago. Over the past few years, the work has been reshored to WH Kemp. WH Kemp had the product history, manufacturing knowledge, drawings and working relationship to support the reshoring without any delays.
Fire safety is a growing part of this sector for WH Kemp. A specialist UK based manufacturer in the fire-safety and decontamination sector has been consolidating more work with WH Kemp. Our responsibility is to absorb the increased volume while maintaining the same controls for quality, responsiveness and traceability.
Controlled Production for Safety-Critical Equipment
Safety-related equipment requires manufacturing controls that remain effective under changing demand. WH Kemp uses documented work instructions, inspection and traceability to maintain consistency across established products, production transfers and growing programmes.
Where products have long service lives, WH Kemp retains the manufacturing information and practical knowledge needed to support repeat supply and controlled change.
A Responsive UK Manufacturing Partner
For established products, growing programmes or a difficult supplier transfer, WH Kemp focuses first on controlling the build, clear information, repeatable processes, appropriate inspection and dependable communication with the customer.
