Everybody wants a high-quality product, but do you know the difference between Quality Assurance and Quality Control?

Here at WH Kemp we pride ourselves on our industry-leading quality statistics, and this is due to our focus on Quality Assurance.  Putting in place methods to ensure product is built right first time, such as Standard Operating Procedures, photos, instructions, layup boards, test boards etc. is an essential part of our NPI process and ongoing Continual Improvement programme. Everybody is clear on which tools to use, components, order of assembly, test requirements and other loom-specific information.  With over 5000 customer drawings on file this is no small task!

Quality Control – such as final inspection – is an important part of the whole process, but it is much better to get things right during the build process rather than having to rework something at the end.  Our “correct to customer” figures of 99.96% for 2023 show the benefits of early investment in getting the process right.
